CellarPro's 4000S 220V 1/3 Ton Nominal cooling units are suitable for wine cellars up to 21 cubic meters in both commercial and residential wine cellars. The 21 cubic feet cellar size assumes that the cellar is constructed with insulation of R19 or better in all walls and ceiling (ie no glass or uninsulated concrete), the cooling unit is not ducted, a setpoint of 13C inside the cellar and ambient temperatures up to 27C outside the cellar.
Performance testing shows that this unit maintains optimal cellar temperature and humidity conditions in extreme conditions up to 43C more effectively than similar units from competing brands. 4000S 220V units also are significantly quieter than comparable units from other brands.
This unit may be used in North America as well as overseas markets. Visit our Learning Center for data tables, performance charts and product comparisons among different brands.
The Evaporator can be remotely located and ducted to/from the cellar using our cold-side duct hood, or located inside the cellar (with or without a decorative grill - not included.)

Inside the cellar, the evaporator unit is designed to mount on the wall near the top of the wine cellar. Outside the cellar, the condensing unit is attached to the evaporator unit by a line-set (sold separately) up to 100 equivalent feet.
ALL Cellar Pro Split systems are available with optional exterior hood which allows the condensing units to be installed in external environments, subject to the temperature range noted above. Please inquire.
Exposure to temperatures below 40°F requires the addition of our low ambient heater kit. The split systems are not shipped with the fan cycling switch required for low temperatures. On its own, the cooling unit will function in environments above 40F/4C. If your condenser will be in and environment below 40F/4C and approaching as low as -20F/ -28C you require the Low Ambient Heater kit. The kit includes both the compressor heater and the fan cycling switch.
Amps at High Fan -
- CP 3000S - 6.6amps
- CP 4000S - 8.9amps
- CP 6000S - 13.8amps
- CP 8000S - 15.4amps
NOTE: Cellar Pro's Split evaporators use the same variable speed fans and advanced controls that we use in our VS Series through-the-wall cooling units. As a result, their Split systems provide super-quiet operation, outstanding cooling power and adjustable humidity control that our competitors can't match.
