Shipping Within Canada and the United States
Rosehill Wine Cellars serves customers from locations and fulfillment partners in Canada and the United States.
Due to the range, size, availability, and origin of our products, an order may ship from more than one Rosehill Wine Cellars location, supplier, manufacturer, warehouse, or fulfillment partner.
Rosehill Wine Cellars reserves the right to divide an order into multiple shipments and to select the shipping origin, carrier, and service appropriate for each product. Products from the same order may arrive on different dates and through different carriers.
Processing and Delivery Estimates
Processing, production, shipping, and delivery dates are estimates unless Rosehill Wine Cellars expressly confirms a guaranteed date in writing.
Delivery estimates may be affected by inventory availability, production schedules, supplier delays, carrier capacity, weather, customs processing, border delays, holidays, remote destinations, and circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Customers will be contacted regarding material delays where required. United States orders that cannot ship within the represented time will be handled in accordance with applicable federal requirements.
Shipping Charges
Shipping charges shown at checkout or included in a quotation are based on the information available when the order is placed.
Rosehill Wine Cellars may contact the customer before shipment if the actual cost is substantially higher because of inaccurate delivery information, remote access, special handling, limited access, stairs, elevators, ferries, unusual freight requirements, or other conditions not disclosed when the order was placed.
The customer will have an opportunity to approve any additional charge or cancel the affected stock product before shipment, subject to any restrictions applying to custom, made to order, or special order products.
Customer Information and Delivery Access
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, telephone number, email address, site contact, and information about delivery restrictions.
Any address change must be approved before shipment. Address changes made after dispatch may result in carrier charges, delays, or rerouting fees for which the customer is responsible.
Before ordering a large product, the customer must confirm that doors, hallways, elevators, stairs, loading areas, and the final installation location can accommodate the packaged and unpackaged product.
Rosehill Wine Cellars is not responsible for a product that cannot be delivered or installed because of insufficient access, incorrect measurements, building restrictions, or undisclosed site conditions.
Freight and Large Product Deliveries
Unless expressly included in the order, freight delivery is generally limited to the service stated on the quotation, checkout page, or order confirmation.
Standard freight delivery may be curbside and may not include inside placement, unpacking, installation, stair carries, debris removal, or disposal of an existing appliance.
The customer must ensure that an adult is available to receive and inspect the shipment. The carrier may contact the customer to arrange an appointment.
Receiving and Inspecting Your Order
Please inspect every shipment carefully before signing the delivery receipt.
Confirm the number of cartons or pallets, the identity of the products, and the condition of the exterior packaging.
If packaging appears damaged, punctured, crushed, wet, opened, rewrapped, or otherwise compromised, clearly write a description of the damage on the carrier’s delivery receipt before signing. Writing only “subject to inspection” may not be sufficient to support a freight claim.
Photograph all sides of the shipment, the damaged areas, the shipping label, and the completed delivery receipt.
For most shipments, accept the product while noting the damage. Refuse a shipment only when the damage is extensive or when instructed to do so by Rosehill Wine Cellars.
Signing a delivery receipt without noting visible damage may affect our ability to recover from the carrier and may limit the available resolution where permitted by law.
Concealed Damage, Shortages, and Incorrect Products
Carefully unpack and inspect the merchandise immediately after delivery.
Shipping damage, concealed damage, shortages, or incorrect products should be reported to Rosehill Wine Cellars within twenty four hours of delivery.
Keep all cartons, pallets, inserts, wrapping, labels, straps, and other packaging until the matter has been resolved. Do not discard packaging or install a damaged product.
The report should include:
- The order number.
- Photographs of the product and damage.
- Photographs of the interior and exterior packaging.
- A photograph of the shipping label.
- A copy or photograph of the delivery receipt.
- The product model and serial number where applicable.
Rosehill Wine Cellars will assess the claim and may arrange replacement parts, repair, replacement, exchange, carrier inspection, or another appropriate remedy.
Reporting requirements do not eliminate rights that cannot legally be waived.
Failed Delivery, Redelivery, and Storage
Additional charges may apply when delivery cannot be completed because:
- No authorized person is available to receive the shipment.
- The customer refuses a shipment without authorization or without a valid reason.
- The delivery address or contact information is incorrect.
- The site is inaccessible or unsuitable for the selected delivery service.
- A scheduled delivery appointment is missed.
- The customer requests delivery to be postponed after shipment.
The customer may be responsible for redelivery, rerouting, return freight, storage, detention, or related carrier charges arising from these circumstances.
Lost Shipments
If tracking shows no movement, an incorrect delivery, or a delivered package that cannot be located, contact Rosehill Wine Cellars promptly.
Rosehill Wine Cellars may open an investigation with the carrier and may require confirmation of the delivery address, photographs of the property, or other reasonable information. Replacement or refund decisions will be made after the carrier investigation and in accordance with applicable law.
Installation and Product Handling
Delivery does not include installation unless installation is specifically listed on the order.
Cooling units, wine coolers, wine cabinets, beverage centres, humidors, racking, and other specialized products must be handled, positioned, ventilated, electrically connected, assembled, and installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions and any applicable building requirements.
Customers are responsible for retaining qualified tradespeople where required.
Cross Border Orders
Products may cross the Canada and United States border depending on inventory and fulfillment location. Cross border shipments may require additional processing time.
Any applicable duties, taxes, brokerage charges, import fees, or other border related charges will be handled according to the terms disclosed at checkout, on the quotation, or on the order confirmation.
