A genuine leather case, handmade in Italy, protects its mechanism like the tool of a great artisan. The fine blades of the corkscrew slip between the side of the cork and glass neck to open or re-cork a bottle, all with a simple turn of the hand and no forcing. Patented by L’Atelier du Vin in 1949, this opening system lets you extract the cork without piercing its surface – before putting it back into place as if nothing had happened at all.

How to use the Bilame Craft corkscrew ?

1. Insert the long blade between the neck and the cork, and the short blade on the other side.
2. Move the handle back and forth to push the two blades all the way down.
3. Unscrew while pulling the handle upwards to extract the cork by gradually turning, without forcing.
