Description
The WhisperKOOL Platinum Split 4000 is a premium split system wine cellar cooling solution available in both ductless and fully ducted configurations. Designed for custom residential and commercial wine cellars up to approximately 1,000 cubic feet, it delivers precise temperature control, quiet performance, and flexible equipment placement. Final system sizing should account for cellar dimensions, insulation, glass, construction materials, and ambient climate.
In the ductless configuration, the evaporator is installed inside the wine cellar for direct cooling while the condenser is positioned remotely. In the fully ducted configuration, both the evaporator and condenser are installed outside the cellar, with conditioned supply and return air routed through ductwork. This keeps the mechanical equipment out of sight and provides WhisperKOOL’s quietest in cellar experience.
The condenser can be installed up to 100 feet from the evaporator, helping keep compressor heat, noise, and vibration away from the wine collection. A liquid temperature bottle probe monitors the temperature of the wine rather than temporary changes in room air, promoting stable conditions and reducing unnecessary system cycling.
An optional 24V thermostat conversion kit is also available for use with compatible third party smart thermostats. When selected, the standard WhisperKOOL controller and liquid bottle probe are not included.
Note: A qualified HVAC R technician is required to install the Platinum Split 4000. Installation by an unqualified person will void the manufacturer’s warranty.
The Platinum Split 4000 does not include a refrigerant line set.

Condenser Options
OMEGA 110 H.E. Condenser
The OMEGA 110 H.E. is the high efficiency condenser option for installations requiring 110V power. Remote placement helps remove compressor heat and operating noise from the cellar while supporting dependable split system cooling.
Advanced H.E. 220V Condenser
The new Advanced H.E. 220V condenser is engineered for improved efficiency, protection, quiet operation, and serviceability. Its wide ambient operating range supports dependable performance in temperatures from minus 20°F to 120°F, making it suitable for demanding indoor and outdoor installation environments.
A high efficiency rotary compressor works with a liquid line injector, cycling switch, compressor heater strap, and suction line accumulator to protect the system during high and low ambient conditions. A hydrophilic coated condenser coil provides added corrosion resistance in humid or challenging environments.
The compressor blanket and vibration isolation mounts help reduce operating noise and vibration. Built in high side and low side pressure gauges include pressure to temperature conversion scales, allowing technicians to quickly review refrigerant pressure and saturation temperature during charging, diagnostics, and system verification.
Flare fittings simplify installation and servicing, while the updated housing provides quick remove top access and a dedicated electrical compartment for more efficient maintenance and troubleshooting.

Described in the simplest terms, a split system is a cooling unit wherein the evaporator unit and condensing unit have been “split” into two separate units instead of being contained within the same housing. The evaporator unit is located in or near your cellar, and the condensing unit is generally located outside, or in an attic or utility room.
If you don’t mind seeing the grille of your cooling unit in your cellar, a wall-mounted split system is what you need. If you prefer your unit to be out of sight, you should get a fully ducted split system. The choice is yours.
24Volt
For the Split System series, a 24V option is also available which allows you to tie into your home electronic thermostat or home automation system, please inquire.
Although the cooling units are rated for various size rooms, the thermal load may require a larger sized cooling unit. Thermal load may be affected by glass in the cellar, room positioning or other factors. Please let a Rosehill Wine Cellar rep make some suggestions for you if needed.
